A historic Bier Stube, Grain Room, and big-top Bier Garten in Middleton

Middleton's landmark brewery has hosted events since 1986: the wood-lined Bier Stube with its Chicago speakeasy bar and copper kettles (50–80 guests), the industrial-rustic Grain Room (50–75, or 155 combined), and the outdoor Bier Garten under a big tent (up to 500 for weddings, May through October). Beer comes from the house taps; food is entirely up to you. Note there is no on-site kitchen, so caterers work self-contained.

“A great classic brewery and must go to if in the area.”
“This is a nice place, right downtown Middleton. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff.. they have a nice variety of about 20 beers on tap. I tried two flights of 6 different beers, their beer is above average, especially the lagers pilsners, and blondes. Flights are $10 for 6 small pours. Define worth a stop if you're in the area.”
“Came to grab a quick beer between activities. Bier Garten was the only section only, but very relaxing in the shade, with some good music and a great selection of beer. Sat early PM stop recommended.”
“Capital is an old standard in Madison brewing. 15 of there beers on tap plus a seltzer and a couple guest taps. My last stop they had Munich dunkel, IPA, Pils, lager, amber, maibock, doppelbock, sour, NE IPA, barleywine, shandy, pumpkin, kellerbier, and some ciders. All the are good. They are clean, many crisp, and tasty. Their beers generally aren't thick, creamy but if you like dark beers like I do this should still be a place to stop. There tasting room has a lot of history and the service is very friendly. They have a ton of space for events especially in the summer I have attended several charity outings. I will come back again.”
